Hi, I have been experiending RLS for the last 8 years, yes for 2 of those I did go on disability, but not for the RLS for Fibromyalgia. I now work at home, freelance writing and as a community leader for an online support group. My RLS does not affect my work. I also know many RLS patients due to the support group I lead. None of them have ever complained that they have had to lose days from work because of it. Often RLS is a symptom of another illness, and most doctors do know about RLS, it shouldn't be to hard to find one. Perhaps you should be looking for another diagnosis to go with the RLS. Another thing you may be interested in is that I take an anti-seizure medication to help control my RLS. There is help out there, talk it over with your doctor, see if you can get some medicinal help. It is very worth it for me. Good Luck!
