I usually have RLS worse at night or on long car trips. A hot, hot shower hitting low on my back helps some to make me tired and I can get some sleep. I have cut back on anything with caffeen or any antihistamines. I read that they aggervate the problem. Sleeping on my stomach does not help me. I do some leg exercises when I really can't sleep and if I do enough to get me tired I can then sleep on my side with a body pillow between my legs. Hope this works for you.
