I have been diagnosed with severe Coronary Artery Disease. Since February 2000 I have had three catherizations/involving two separate angioplasty. Now have several stents: 3 LAD; 1 Cirumflex, and 2 rgt coronary artery. Profile: male, 36 years old, reasonably fit (5'7"/153 lbs), no known direct family history, sensible eater (love fruits and vegetables). I went through a series of extensive blood tests during the past 8 months. My CRP level was .04 (normal range was listed .03 to 5.0). Cholesterol levels average 107 (HDL 36, LDL 66), Triglceride 92. Homocysteine level 9.5, B-12 520, folate 20. I am wondering if there are other folks out there in the similar situation. Will undergo a by-pass for the LAD this December. Have read a lot on CAD, the heart, and blood results and attended coronary education sessions.
