Hi, My son was diagnosis with psuedohypoparthyroidism in 1996. He had an episode with psoriasis and was placed in the hospital for six days. While he was there, I was told that he had psuedohypoparathyroidism. He is now 20 years old. I did not know how serious it was until yesterday (August 3, 2001). He is now seeing a new doctor (endocrinologist)and was told it was a very rare condition and that he would have to take calcium (Oscal) and vitamin D(Rocaltrol)daily--FOREVER. He is also taking Methotrexate and Folic Acid for his psoriasis. I am also looking for more information about psuedohypoparathyroidism.
