Hi. I have a 5 1/2 year old son who has had 2 surgeries to correct his Hypospadias. He was a a year old for his surgery and 17 months old for his second. He tolerated both surgeries extremely well. The first was to build his uretha to the end of his penis. You wouldn't have known by looking at him that he had just underwent this surgery, He was crawling around, jumping and playing as usual. I was stressed by the procedure because of a tube placed inside his uretha leading to outside of his penis, (we had to change diapers around it and I was a bit nervous) but the week it was in was uncomplicated and it came out on its own. The second surgery went well, this was to drop his testicle (sac only) to its normal posistion. His testes still have not decended. That surgery was a little less stressful. He doesn't remember any of it! If you would like to talk further, please email me. (kjoines@sears.com) I still have a upcoming urology appt. to address his undescended testicles. Good Luck! Katrina
