NEVER stop meds suddenly or abruptly. That can actually bring on a seizure. People on medications other than anticonvulsants must do a weaning process. I have been on dilantin and phenabarb for 27 years. I was totally seizure free for 25 years and three weeks ago I had a petit mal seizure. I use to always have grand mal seizures. We think they are breaking through because I hit menopause and the hormone imbalance is contributing to it. We had considered weaning me off the meds until this happened. so PLEASE be careful My Best Carol
