Hello i am a 35 year old black american i was born and raised in Chicago illinois, i now live in Australia and have been for the last seven years. Up until 2 years ago i was a proffesional basketball player looking into retirement. I was in a car accident in Dec 98 with a hematoma to my left kidney which was found on the CT scan done, i have since been diagnosed with severe hypertension on the date of the acident my pressure was 230 over 130 the lady in the ambulance thought i was on medication i told her i wasn't so i have been refered to a cardiologist to help get my high blood pressure under control. I am on medications now for high blood pressure. Questions? do i have it for life, is the result of hypertension normal after kidney trauma. eg:hematoma, has high blood pressure shortened my life, and is it possible to have had hypertension and serve in the US military, play pro basketball in several countries and it not be picked up on any medicals. Other complications, dizzyness, L1-L2 soft tissue damage, and migraines. Please help if you can any information would be appreciated. Thanks God Speed!
