Angela
I have a 6 1/2 year old who was diagnosed with moderate verbal dyspraxia and sensory problems. We have been in extensive speech therapy and some occupational therapy as well for three years. He has now entered kindergarten this fall after 3 years in preschool. His speech has improved greatly but he still chooses to be shy and not talk to children until he knows them quite well. He is a very loving and caring little boy and gets along well with other children. He can be temperamental at times but his behavior at school is excellecnt. I would like a reply from anyone who has a dyspraxic child and wants to discuss how to make the learning experince better for our children. My son also has fine motor difficulties which makes writing hard. He is progressing at school and seems so excited about learning. I would love to hear from you about your child and what you have experienced as far as help from the school system and did it work.
