This is for B. Harper. I just had gb surgery 1 week ago. I also had the ultra sound scan. I presented with back pain and belching...and yes like you I now have the same pain. I think there is a trick to eating but I haven't found it yet. But am also grateful to those people on here who left some advice as to what to eat. All these questions we are asking didn't anyone ask their surgeon at their follow up appointment? Mine isn't until next week but am making a LIST! I am not too sure about the bile causing colon cancer. I haven't read that anywhere in medical literature but certainly will check it out...since my Mom had gb surgery and died 10 years later of colon cancer. I think that the causes were probably the same ...bad diet...not bile but am going to check that one out. Since colon cancer is so easily found now..and prevented with tests this shouldn't scare anyone. My doctor said to watch fats but that was before surgery....I guess he meant all the time.....sigh....Thanks also to the folks who "survived" and wrote to say they are doing fine. That's very encouraging.
