Read 11 messages today about the spinal stenosis, and appreciate every word written. Was injured last Halloween, and it's been just a year now with the pain. My pain is constant even with Celebrex. Have long standing heel spurs, osteitus pubis, TMJ, instability of both shoulders following bilateral subluxions, and chondromalacia in both knees now. I herniated T10, L5, and S1 last Halloween (apparently this was a cosmic kick in the rearend... more trick than treat.) Unfortunately, am overweight and on blood pressure medication as well. Life can be a twit at times. Have lost my ability to work, and am living on disability. This was my first time to be at this forum, and reading your messages made me cry. I dread what the future might be or could have been. My physician tells me that my pain is not that bad.... I'm not on narcotics but I'd still like to trade my body for his for a day or so and we'll decide if the pain is mild or not. Next time I'm up at 4:00 am walking the floors without relief I'll give him a call! Anyway, has anybody experienced a loss of control of bowel/bladder with the stenosis? I'm concerned that my physician has decided that my pain is so mild that any other symptoms I am having are negligable. His idea is to just do another EMG after the next MRI. I am concerned that the loss of control is a symptom of further damage. Any thoughts? Any ideas on how to manage this new problem? Yes, I'd like to get a new MD, but my worker's comp attorney thinks this guy is the best in our area.
