Hello, I read your message on HealthlinkUSA about lymphedema. I had a bi-lateral mastectomy (mod. radical) and have noticed increased bulk and painful swelling in my arms and legs and across my chest and under my arms. It is very frustrating to try to figure out exactly what is going on and what to do about it. I will begin a physical therapy session that last for two weeks two hours a day beginnning next month. In the meantime I would like to learn if there is anything else I can do or should not do to protect myself from this malady getting worse. I appreciated your hints and will call my doctor to get a RX for an antibiotic as soon as the office opens on Tuesday morning. Thanks. Carole
