My father had this awful condition for about 20 years. It was terrible to watch whenever he would have an "episode". Finally, after many different treatments, some I cannot even remember. He was directed to the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa for a research procedure called a "gamma knife". This is a nonevasive procedure and I beleive it saved his life. He had this done in November and has been literally pain free since then. I can even kiss him on his right cheek now. It is worth looking into. Believe me when I tell you he is a new man, I finally have my dad back. Gamma Knife.
