Every one is different. I had very little pain with the reconstruction. There also was very slim chance of recurrance becaus I had gone thru almost a full year of chemo and waited 4 years for the reconsr. I hated the prosthesis, so heavy & hot, especially in summer. Culdn't wait to get home from work to take off the darn thing.
