Lee, when no one is around to blow smoke in your ear, try this: get ahold of the book, "The Core Program" by physical therapist Peggy Brill. I first got it from a public library, then bought it. While I don't suffer from tinnitus, my sister does and it was consuming her life. There is an exercise in the book that stretches the vagus nerve. It goes something like this: lie down in your back, look back "over" or "behind" your head, and stick out your tongue. It sounded strange, but my sister tried it and has had about 70% relief from her tinnitus! Sometimes simple measures can be very effective! Good luck
