My sister was put on Medidate (same as Ritalin) for her so-called Narcolepsy. She went in to see a general practicioner, told him "I get sleepy after lunch," and he wrote her a Rx. He never referred her to a neurologist, or a sleep clinic. I think they are both nuts!! Aren't there specific AMA guidelines for making a diagnosis of narcolepsy? Thanks for any and all replies.
