I took predisone for only 4 months. My head became the size of a basketball. I grew a hump on my back that looks like a hunchback. I gained 30 pounds. My skin turned bright red. My blood sugar levels became outrageous. I had to take insulin shots of 75 units a day. I have been off the prednisone over two months now. Although I have extreme joint pain and many other problems...it is much better than taking the prednisone.
