My youngest son, now 22, had symptoms frequently as a small child. His pediatrician said it was common and there much that could be done for it. He would run low-grade fevers from time to time with rash mainly on his cheeks. During these times, he was act letharic but not really sick. He eventually outgrew it with no after-effects what so ever. I would suggest you just give your child Children's Tylenol (stay away from aspirin!) when he has a fever and use cold cloths across his forehead and neck for comfort.
