I ,too,have RSD and was diagnosed in May,1998. I am on various medications--muscle relaxants for spasms; antidepressants, one for depression and the other one is used as a sedative to help me get some sleep at night. I also take a seizure drug to help with the neuropathy and spasms and burning pain. Also,I take a pain reliever, at times, to try to help with the pain. But, nothing seems to decrease the pain lower than an 8/10(10 being the worst pain). What does help me are hospitalizations with specific treatments to help decrease the Pain for a couple of months---recently it has brought my pain down to a 5-6/10.
