I have Piraformis Syndrome and have been dealing with it for about 8 months. I have tried many forms of treatment from physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, NUCCA, trigger point injections, etc. Although the pain has subsided quite a bit, I still know that I am not healed completely. I believe that since it is muscle related it will take much longer than other injuries. I know that I am getting better, however, and have decided to stop all forms of treatment except for heat and stretching. This seems to be working for me along with light walking. I plan on going back to the gym next month. The key is to listen to your body. Sitting in the correct chairs is very important. I know if I sit in the wrong chair, it can set me back. If you would like to talk about this more, please feel free to email me.
