How often does he have a bowel movement each day and during the week? If he has not had a bowel movement in sevearl days, he may have some blockage in his large or small intestine which may have something to do with his digestion. I am only guessing here. The best thing that I feel to do about this is to get him tio a doctor that specializes in the stomach, intestines, etc. A gastrointerologist. One in your area that you feel would be the best one to go to. If it is severe pain and your husband feels like he can't wait to go to the doctor, you may want to go ahead and take him to the hospital, becasue it may be a lot worse that the both of you think it is, especially if it has been a long time that the pain and symptoms have been going on.
