Around the end of last year I was diagnosed as having an aneurysm. They said it was about 1 centimeter. I was told to go back for an MRA for a closer view. The tests came back and it showed 2 aneurysms. One is on the left middle cerebral artery and the other is on the left internal corotid artery. I was told to go for an Angiogram. I went for that on Monday, February 12th. These results came back and the two aneurysms are 7 millimeters each. I am going crazy sitting around waiting for my doctor to call back. From what I've read I might not need surgery depending on the size and the location, but that they would have to be monitored and when they get to be about 10 millimeters I'd probably have to have the surgery. The radiologist at the hospital told me that I definitely needed surgery. I have yet to speak with a neurosurgeon. My doctor and his staff are taking their time setting this up and it's taking it's toll on me. I'm setting up the appointment myself since my regular GP is taking too long. In the meantime I'd like to hear from any of you regarding the size and location of my aneurysms. I am grateful these things haven't burst and they're not so big compared to what I've been reading on this site. My heart goes out to all of you. I've read many of your postings and it's a terrible thing to have to go through. It seems to me a lot of people do get better but it does take a long time. I read somewhere, and most of you probably are already aware of this, that you have to look at your accomplishments since the surgery, not at what you still have to accomplish. It makes sense to me but I'm sure it's hard to hang onto that though when you're the one going through this. Well, thanks for listening and I look forward to hearing back from any of you. Also, I'm hear to listen too so if you want to just email me to just talk, that's fine by me. May God bless all of you!
