Dear Sandra: Please let me know if you hear anything back from your posting. I'm 27 and have been suffering from the exact same thing for some months now. It's exactly what you described: my big toe folds under my other toes like a magnet is pulling it. Last night it was my left foot. Sometimes I get the hand cramps as well, in my left hand. I had assumed this was related to typing at the computer, however, since I've read that you use your left hand more than your right. I thought it was some kind of manifestation of carpal tunnel. However, if you are experiencing the same things maybe they ARE related. One thing I have done to help my foot cramps (and it's gross, I admit) is to eat a heaping teaspoon of salt. I do that and then walk around my living room for about 10 minutes and the cramps usually don't come back that night. I drink a lot of water during the day as well, since I know muscle cramps can be caused by dehydration sometimes. The salt thing is inspired by athletes who drink salt water (and even pickle juice!) to prevent cramps before a game. I'm not sure exactly why it works. Please let me know if you hear anything else.
