You didn't say how they happened to find the aneurysm, but the blood vessel is weakened by the aneurysm and they can rupture. However, some aneurysms which were considered inoperable can to treated with embolization of the aneurysm. This procedure was perfected in France and involved doing an angiogram with dye and x-ray and then a tiny catheter is floated into the vessel where the aneurysm is located and a solution is injected into the area which embolizes and seals off the aneurysm. I cannot tell you the name of hospitals and doctors because of board rules but check with some major medical centers in your area and on medline for recent articles on it.
