I get vertigo also and is the result of an inner ear condition called labyrinthitis. This is trapped liquid causing unbalance. I get it when I lay down and turn my head a certain way. It comes on slow and my heart starts to race so I know its coming and can correct myself. When does vertigo occur for you? Is is in certain positions like me? I agree, its an awful feeling losing the sense of being balanced and grounded. I also have developed allergies that shows up in my ears (not typical but does happen) and when I am having an allergic reaction my ears itch like crazy and I have moments where I feel almost dizzy but just off balance. This is not a good feeling. It has been helped with a homeopathic remedy for food and chemical allergies.Have you looked into possible allergies? I know how scary it is to feel vertigo and how sometimes the thought of it brings on anxiety. I have had a few panic attacks myself. It has helped tremendously to visualize myself in perfect balance. Whatever picture of this you can come up with- use it. When you feel anxious remember to breath deeply and evenly. I would be interested in a reply from you and any more information you have- maybe we can help eachother.
