I was diagnosed with hypo. 5 years ago. My thyroid self-destructed and I am totally dependent on synthroid. Your horomone levels must be fluctuating, which makes it difficult to get the dose right. I produce no horomones on my own, so my medication is relatively easy to maintain. (.125mcg per day). If your body makes any thyroid horomone, however small, it may not be consistent from day to day. If you are increasingly going down hill, you may need a thyroid panel blood test to determine how much of an increase you need in your medication. This has to be done gradually. Once you reach and stay in the normal zone, you know you've gotten the dosage right. It can be tricky at first, but it's easily treated and you will return to good health!! Good luck.
