I sure HOPE you're not taking 50 cubic centimeters of Synthroid (or another brand). Is it in liquid form???? Thyroid replacement measurements usually come in milligrams or micrograms (depending on where you put the decimal point!) You wondered if an increase of your medication would make you feel better, or less fatigued, and if it would affect your weight. You may begin to feel better but I doubt if the increase will have any affect on your weight. Seems strange, doesn't it, that a low thyroid will cause you to gain and a high thyroid will cause you to lose, but any change in the attempt to stabilize your thyroid output has no affect on your present weight? Losing weight will have to proceed in the usual way, whatever diet & exercise routine works for you, over time. Have you talked to your doc about your weight and what he suggests? Maybe one of the new appetite depressents like Meridia, unless there's some reason you can't take it. Anyway, good luck. I too, have hypothyroidism, and I've been taking meds for it for about 6 years, the main problem being I've been either high or low and have changed my Rx several times. Right now I'm on 125 micrograms Synthroid, and I, too, have a weight problem.
