Had severe psoriasis since age 20 (I'm now 64).Huge plaques on trunk as well as usual elbows and knees. Last Oct, I went on a low animal fat diet,no red meat, a bit of skin-free chicken is my only meat, no milk, cheese, ice cream or yoghurt. Substituted soy products, soy milk(Vanilla-flavored for taste, calcium fortified and I also take two Tums a day for calcium), wonderful tofu based dessert my wife makes in the blender, lots of salads, nuts and seeds. After 3 months my psoriasis was almost all gone and my cholesterol dropped to 160. In times of famine (e.g. much of Europe during WWII,many psoriatics got better only to relapse after the war when the food supply normalized). Perhaps it was lack of animal fat rather than caloric restriction which had helped. mocdoc
