I recently came down with severe bilateral shoulder pain following a bout with what my doctor said was a mycoplasma respiratory infection. I was treated with both Biaxin and Zithromax and each time the symptoms came back after the medication was done. My doctor says that it is a "nasty bug" and may keep recurring for a while, but I am beginning to doubt his diagnosis. My pain is mostly in the upper margin of the deltoid muscles, but if I stress the shoulder joint, I can feel that the source of pain is in the joint itself. Please respond if you have similar circumstances surrounding your illness. It's been 3 months now, I can't work and may lose my business, and I'm feeling desparate.
