About two years ago, I developed granuloma annulare. After cortizone injections and topical cortizone application, both of which were uneffective, I am now undergoing PUVA light treatment and it's working!! I have had 8 treatments starting at about 2 minutes each, progressing to 11 minutes each. Usually 20 to 30 treatments are required to completely eliminate the lesions. Two hours before treatment, I take 4 oxsoralen-ultra 10mg tables which intensifies the effects of the PUVA light, I am told. The risk involved is possible skin cancer and if you don't protect your eyes, development of cataracts. I wear special glasses during the treatments and any time I am out in the sunshine 12 hours after the treatments. I wanted to share this information with those of you of have this condition and wish you luck!
