Our son was diagnosed with asthma at the age of 13 months. He, too , had had mutiple respiratory problems, and it was only after a trip to ER and a month of unsuccessful treatment that we insisted on seeing a specialist. Any baby with the severe allergies and phlegm problems you describe is at risk for asthma. I suggest finding an excellent PEDIATRIC pulmonologist and having your son assessed. Our son is now 11 years old and doing great, so there is hope!! Best of luck to you!
