                        I also have apnea.  I swear by the CPAP machine.  I didn't think it would work for me and was very skeptical.  What a change in my life!  I've been using the machine for less than a month and my quality of life has improved so much, that I'm energetic enough at 42 to go back to college!  Before the machine, I was so tired I was afraid to take a driving test... no joke.  I would try the CPAP first.  Unless the tonsilectomy is due to repeated tonsilitis... If its only for obstruction, try CPAP.  Its non invasive and its an immediate cure.    Good luck!
