There is a large amount of research into the relief of DVT by using North Atlantic Salmon Oil regularly, it appears that one of the Omega 3 fatty acids DPA has the effect of keeping the platelets apart and prevent coagulation. Extensive studies are being carried out in England and recently the House of Lords conducted an inquiry into DVT and long haul airline passengers. DVT can also occur even with long haul truck drivers, salesmen etc and it has been recommended that drivers should exercise for ten minutes for every two hours driving. During world war 2, people that use deck chairs in the air raid shelters did expereince DVT problems even after one evening sleeping in these chairs.
