I have twin boys that are 3years old, and one of them gets a very croopy cough when he gets a little congestion in his nose. I have had him to the doctor several times, and have even had his tonsils and adnoids removed. When his cough flairs up it seems to be worse at night, he evens coughs till he gags or throws up. I have try albuteral breathing treatments with a nebulizer and they help some but I think he has a touch of asthma but has never been diagnosed.I think you should have your doctor write you a rx for a home nebulizer and albuterol to see if it helps.
