Jack Turnough
Hi, I have had four replacements to my right hip and lost them all The first in 1979 which "clunked" when I walked. This was replaced in 1980 but unfortunately seemed to make matters worse. After some four months in a hip spica my hip was removed (Girdlestone or Psuedo arthrosis)Some 12 years on another attempt was made and much like yourself mine was dislocating up to five times a day in fact it became common practice for me to jar it back in.Once again this was replaced with a modified prosthesis which whilst it didn't dislocate, it became infected.I was stuffed full of antibiotics but they did'nt stop my hip weeping.Anyway to cut a long story short, two years ago they had to remove it again.Evidently the cause of all my trouble was T.B.in the bone. I realy do hope yours is settling down.Kindest regards Jack T
