I have been with a friend that has been suffering with Crohns for 12 years, her ordeal is incredible and we have kept track of all of her recections to the final blow of having her large intesine removed and her rectum sowed up and is now on a colostomy bag for life at the ripe old age of 36. After all of the paper work, keeping track of the drugs that were administered in the hospitals and using her for a guinea pig to try and keep the crohns under control, we have ended up finding out that someone in her family, mind you from a ways back did have crohns and her and I feel that from all of our research that it is hereditary to a digree, but is an organism that may be contacted threw food or water- she did spend time in Mexico.
