Dear friend: I just read your testimony about your son and your wondering if he should go now for surgery. I have a scoliosis myself and have been going off and on to a osteopath (which is the natural alternative to surgery, less traumatising especially for a child, cause remember a child grows till they are 18 years old. I worked in physiotherapy and osteopathy and saw for myself all the good this could do. These therapists have to study 5 years in physio before they can go into osteopathy (which is another 6 years) so I hope you can find a good osteopathe that would follow your child. Most of the time this is reimbursed by insurance because it is claimed under physiotherapy. From what I gather, your son is doing soccer, swimming. Personally I would really consider all the alternatives before doing the surgery. I have a 19 years old daughter who was once diagnosed with a cyst in the neck. The surgeon wanted to cut that and told us there was danger for her not to speak anymore and all the other dangers. We said no At that time she was 6 years old. We are christians, so we prayed for her and this is 13 years ago. She is into drama and art and succeeding. I can imagine all the trauma it would have been for her. My husband did natural medicine for her and it is all gone. I just came back from a surgery myself. I had not gone in the hospital for 19 years. I had a biopsy for my right breast. They were scaring me with cancer etc. but again my husband and I prayed and the results came back ``negative`` Doctors don't all have the answers.I respect them, consult them but God is the one that heals. I will be praying for your son. God Bless you and my he guide you in the right decision for your little boy. Yours truly
