I am a 29 year old male that has suffered from Strep Throat on and off for many years. Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with it again after going 5 years without it. After completing my antibiotic perscription I was back at the doctor's office 3 days later with Strep Throat again. I am now seriously concerned as I am leaving on Monday for a six week work stint in Singapore and don't want to run into any problems there - plus, a month and a half after my return I will be assigned there for 2 years. What I can tell you is that I always have a warning that occurs about a week before I get the symptoms. This warning comes in the form of a little white ball of something that I cough up from the back of my throat. Whenever this happens I am guaranteed to have Strep within a week. I will certainly be trying Mel's antioxidant treatment for the next little while to see if that helps things out, but I will also be making an appointment to see an ENT specialist after my 6 week tour of duty. I have always told my doctors that my tonsils should be removed, hopefully this time they will listen.
