I have 2 herniated disks, which cause plenty of pain in my back, pelvis & legs. There appear to be various forms of treatment ranging from invasive techniques such as fusion and disk replacement to minimally-invasive techniques such as IDET. Can anyone give me any guidance as to which sort of treatment I should be looking at to gain lasting relief? I already believe that a fusion at my age (38) would not be a good idea but I like to looks of disk replacements (although major surgery). Do the minimally-invasive techniques actually work?
