I had a goiter 2 yrs. ago. They removed it and I feel like a different person. But, to your question I also felt like there was something in my throat. My experience was more at night when I laid down to go to sleep. My drs. told me it was the pressure from the goiter. My goiter was really huge. About the cycles I am not really sure about that. But good luck anyway.
