You would be utterly amazed by the number of physicians who will insist that a patient continue a medication in the presence of reactions such as hives. Sometimes, I think they have mush for brains. Ask the doctor to switch you to another anti-depressant. It will involve weening you off Zoloft and bringing the dosage of the new drug up as the Zoloft is metabolized. If the hives continue, then the hives could be a psychological reaction or due to something in the environment.
