I have had RSD from a tibia fracture in June of 2000. I have had atypical RSD which means I do not have swelling. I do have pain and burning in the foot. I found that neuronton helps some. This is a med that decreases the pain signal in the brain. It helps also for evening out moods. When I take anywhere from 300 to 900 a day. When I worked with people who had RSD in the hospital we did ice dips to relieve swelling and retrograde massage. I know now that touch sometimes is painful, so do what is most comfortable for you. You may try elevation too. I know the pain that comes with RSD and I pray that all goes well with you.
