I'm so glad that you discovered that water exercise really is the best way to exercise especially with arthritis and spinal stenosis. Isn't it great? It's hard, I know from my own experience, to exercise because of the pain associated with arthritis and spinal stenosis. The pain many times causes those of us with these conditions to avoid exercise, doesn't it? The water is so relaxing and it allows us to avoid the constant pounding that the joints absorb when exercising on hard surfaces. My one suggestion is for you to continue to do the boring exercises that the physical therapist prescribed for you. I do the stretching and the isometrics on a daily basis. Those exercises really keep the muscles flexible and that can help you to avoid any further exacerbation of your symptoms. I wish you all good health.
