Hi i'm 20 years old and i get this terrilbe heartburn. I had a scope done and it turned out i have shotky's ring, hiatel hernia, and severe gerd. It started a couple months ago with a sore throat. At the time i had no idea it was heartburn, so when i went to a couple doctors they put me on antibiotics, which didn't solve the problem. It got so intense that i made a trip to the emergency room. that's when the idea of acid reflux was first introduced to me. The ER doctor put me on zantac, which was twice a day for two weeks and that didn't phase it. I then went back and they put me on asiphex, which i am currently taking, and that didn't seem to help either. So i went back again and they put me on Nexium, which was worse than asiphex. Nothing seems to help me and i still get terrible heartburn that i almost can't handle sometimes. I am in my second year of college and am under a lot of stress. I was told that might have something to do with it. I don't know what to do about this anymore. nothing seems to help me. Is there anyone else out there with this problem? I would greatly appriciate it if someone could give me some advice. Thanks.
