I had a total knee replacement 4 yrs ago and I have crohn's disease. One of the fringe benefits of the crohn's is arthritic symptoms. After the surgery my ortho doc put me on celebrex. So my Crohn's doc put me on prilosec so my gut could tolerate the celebrex. I do not have any gut problems as a result of using the celebrex. My arthritic sx have increased over the yrs and I am quite uncomfortable even with the meds. This is a progressive thing with the sx and I am chicken to stop the celebrex to see how much more inceased the pain would be. Tried it a couple of yrs ago and didn't like it so back on the pills.
