In January 2002 I was diagnosed, thru MRI, with disk herniation at C5-C6 (cause unknown). A neurologist and one neurosurgeon (in the same office) recommended surgery, another neurosurgeon did not. I have chosen not to have surgery at this time and, after 3-1/2 months, handle pain with meds. I have always been a very active person, and now, at 50-years-old, I feel it even more important to be active. If I resume my former way of life is further damage possible? Does any one have advice on this? Emails are appreciated.
