Deanna
I am 62 and was diagnosed in early 1990's. I was put on amatriptoline to help me sleep, and still use it every night or I don't sleep and then, as you know, you get too tired to do anything. On my own I take SAM-e and colostrum, both over the counter, and I use a product called sombra to rub on my arms at night or they wake me up cramping badly. Sombra is like the much advertised blue stuff, but it does smell like eucalyptus, so I only use it at night. Sleep is the most important part of feeling lively. I also have Vicodin; which is very addictive stuff, so I only use it when I have a day that I have to do something, and really am hurting, like on a rainy day, and try not to use it 2 days in a row. I used it the last week my mom was in the hospital and it took a while to get to feeling better when I stopped using it. I am on PremPro for menopausal hot flashes, but it helps the aches in the bones also. Hope something I have said helps you out.
