I have had asthma for 12 years. For the past 6 weeks I have been experiencing GERD. I had an endoscopy three weeks ago today, and am presently taking Aciphex. Have tried Prevacid, but it made the GERD worse plus broke me out in a rash. The Aciphex works all right on some days, but then some days are hard. My chest feels so tight, wheezy, and I feel the need to burp. It's sometimes hard to breathe, also. At night, I have a tickle in my throat when I try to go to sleep. I don't have your typical burning esophagus/ belching symptoms like many do. I need some advice please on what to do. Carol
