Vic Powell
When I 1st came down with this crappy disease I had to wear an eyepatch & was so weak I couldn't lift a cup of coffee with one hand. I had someone drive me to work & back but I never missed a single, full day of work. After being on Mestinon, Prednisone & Imuran for a while then getting 5 Phoersis treatments then a Thymectomy, I am back to almost normal. My legs are not as strong as they used to be and every once in a while someone notices a little hitch in my get-a-long. Doc is trying to wean my from the Prednisone but when I get down to around 10 to 12 mg per day, my left eye muscle goes limp again & I have to jump the Prednisone back up to 40-60 per day & that usually corrects it in a few days. I have had to get phoresis 3 times on two occasions when going back on high pred. didn't do it. That's probably more than you wanted to know except for one thing, I HAVE MANAGED TO KEEP MY PRIVATE PILOT'S LISCENSE WITH THE FAA THROUGHOUT THIS ORDEAL. GOOD LUCK
