Sounds a bit similar to what I had only I had other symptoms in other parts of my body besides my head. What I had was a misdiagnosed allergy to MSG and the misdiagnosis lasted for a period of twelve years and a total of seven doctors misdiagnosed it. It sounds like some type of an allergy or a deficiency of some sort. I was the one who put my doctor wise to what was going on. I use to have a book that gave a listing of symptoms and then in the next column it gave the possible causes. My allergy culminated with a burning tongue and under that symptom it said there was to possibilities, a food allergy or a vitamin defiency of some kind. Doctors can tell by looking at your skin or the inside of your mouth or your nails or hair even if you have a defiency. I would recommend seeing an allergist or an internist with a nutritional background. There are very few universities that require nutrition as part of pre-med but they are the ones who are more apt to catch it. I'm not a doctor but because I have been misdiagnosed a lot of the time I share your frustration.
