Peggy
I was diagnosed with Fibrocystic Breast Disease at 20. This year I will be 50. I have had Lobular Carcinoma in Situ, a non-aggressive cancer in the milking producing lobes. Your daughter does have options but if she feels strongly about having her breasts removed and her physician concurs, so it be. I suggest she seek a second opinion by a physician with much experience in FBD. Best wishes! By the way I still have both breasts.
